Reading Puppies - Testimonials

June 2016

We were complete beginners to puppy training however Gillian and Cathy quickly gave us confidence and simple tasks to practice (using a clicker and tasty treats!). Our children were warmly welcomed and got stuck in with the training. The sessions were great fun, always something new to try and certainly never boring! Gillian and Cathy were really positive in their methods and always reassuring that our puppy's behaviour was normal and we were all doing well. There were so many practical pearls of wisdom that we took home and still carry out every day and they really work! We learned a lot about how life is from a puppy's point of view and how to get the best from our puppy. Thank you Reading Puppies for giving us all a great start to puppy training - we know that we must keep going! The Nelson Family (with Nuala our 15 week old Black Labrador puppy)

Best wishes - the Nelsons :)

I just wanted to write and say a huge thank you for your wonderful puppy classes and help with Reuben. If I am honest having done my degree in behavior i didn’t think I would learn much from a puppy class but I knew it would be good for Reuben. I was very wrong! and just wanted to say both of you were brilliant trainers and taught me load. I think most importantly though, my Dad who had previously said “ Why do you want to take him to puppy classes? I don’t see the point” said in the car after the last class “ I think all puppies should go to puppy class”. and believe me if you can win him over then you are doing well. Anyway thanks again - Emily + Reuben

I have owned dogs for over 20 years and currently have 4 but still think it is important to socialize and educate each new pup individually- so I enrolled for a clicker training course with Gill and Kathy at Reading Puppies. Both ladies have a wealth of experience and huge reserves of patience - with puppy and owner alike! I thoroughly enjoyed the course and know my puppy Fig did too because he would pull like a train to get into the hall as fast as possible. The course content is sound common sense sprinkled with a fair amount of humor and would be suitable for a first timer as much as someone who has owned and trained a dog before. I would definitely reccomend this course. — Sheila
